The present invention provides a continuous melt process for the preparation of a unique zinc oxide/pentaerythritol chemical product that can be used as a stabilizer. The process comprises the steps of providing a continuous processor having a product feed zone, a reaction zone, and a discharge zone; feeding zinc oxide and pentaerythritol into the product feed zone and providing a raw material mixture comprising the zinc oxide and said pentaerythritol; maintaining a temperature of from about 185 ~C to about 245 ~C in the reaction zone; maintaining a temperature of from about 185 ~C to about 245 ~C in the discharge zone; transporting the raw material mixture into the reaction zone and maintaining a residence time for the raw material mixture in the transition zone of from about 10 to about 60 seconds so as to provide a reacted chemical product; transporting the reacted product into said discharge zone; and removing the reacted chemical product from the discharge zone.

Un procédé de fusion continue permet de préparer un produit chimique spécifique oxyde de zinc/pentaérythritol pouvant s'utiliser comme agent stabilisant. Ce procédé consiste à disposer d'un dispositif de traitement en continu comprenant une zone d'alimentation en produits, une zone de réaction, et une zone de sortie, à introduire l'oxyde de zinc et le pentaérythritol dans la zone d'alimentation en produits et à obtenir un mélange de matière brute comportant cet oxyde de zinc et ce pentaérythritol, à maintenir des températures d'environ 185 à environ 245 ·C dans ces zones de réaction et de sortie, à transférer le mélange de matière brute dans la zone de réaction et à l'y maintenir pendant un temps de résidence d'environ 10 à environ 60 secondes pour obtenir un produit chimique ayant réagi, et à transférer ce dernier dans la zone de sortie d'oú on peut alors le retirer.
