The present invention relates to genes and protein encoded thereby that regulate the secretory pathway and/or the neuroendocrine phenotype (NEP) in cells and method of isolating same. More particularly, the present invention relates to long-term therapies for diseases or conditions associated with a loss function. More particularly, the present invention relates to the treatment of such diseases using a cell replacement therapy. In particular, the invention relates to genes involved in cellular differentiation and genes that modulate the formation of the regulated secretory pathway. The invention thus also concerns a method to identify such genes, the genes, variants or fragments thereof, vectors comprising same, the products of these genes, variants or fragments thereof and to cells expressing same. In a particular embodiment, the invention relates to the characterization of Zis-SR a novel sequence involved in the secretory pathway in cells.
La présente invention porte sur des gènes et sur une protéine codée qui régulent le mécanisme d'action sécréteur et/ou le phénotype neuroendocrinien dans des cellules, et sur un procédé d'isolation correspondant. L'invention porte notamment sur des thérapies à long terme s'appliquant à des pathologies ou états associés à une perte de fonction, et plus spécifiquement, sur le traitement de ces pathologies par une thérapie de remplacement cellulaire. L'invention porte en outre sur des gènes impliqués dans la différenciation cellulaire et sur des gènes modulant la formation du mécanisme d'action sécréteur régulé. L'invention porte sur un procédé d'identification de ces gènes, sur les gènes, les variants ou les fragments de ceux-ci, sur des vecteurs les comprenant, sur les produits de ces gènes, les variants ou les fragments de ceux-ci et sur les cellules les exprimant. Selon une réalisation préférée, l'invention porte sur la caractérisation de Zis-SR, une nouvelle séquence impliquée dans le mécanisme d'action sécréteur des cellules.
