ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A substrate that has a finish of a clear coat toplayer in firm adherence to a color coat layer that is in adherence with the substrate; wherein the clear coat consists essentially of a trans- parent film forming binder; the color coat consists essentially of a film forming binder and pigments; the color coat contains an ultraviolet light stabilizer and optionally, both the clear coat and the color coat contain an antioxidant and an ultraviolet light stabilizer; this finish has an excellent appearance and has excellent weatherability and durability and is particularly useful as a finish for automobiles and trucks.
