A B S T R A C T A window having a frame surrounding it wherein the upper frame assembly has an outer frame member and an inner frame member, the lower edge of the outer frame member terminating in a rearwardly directed flange and the inner frame having as its front portion another flange which is spaced from the outer frame member front face, the space so formed being arranged to accommodate sheathing material for example rolled steel so that water shed from the sheathing material above the window will be directed behind the outer frame member and will discharge across the entire width of the window.
