ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Perfluoropolyether oils containing traces of H2O molecularly dissolved therein are rendered anhydrous and hyper- pure by treating same with chlorine trifluoride or monofluoride at a pressure of 1-5 atm. and a temperature of 0-50°C after which the thus treated oil is selectively fractionated.
