ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A new class of chemical compounds useful for the control of insects consists of (methyl) (arylsulfenyl) carbamic acid esters of 2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-7-benxofuranol having the formula Image where R is a mono- or bi-cyclic aromatic group. The preparation of these compounds, their physical properties, formulation, and use to control both household insects and crop insects are exemplified.
