DETACHABLE BAR FOR GARMENT HANGER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A garment hanger includes a central head portion and outwardly extending arms. Each of the arms defines adjacent their ends a socket for receipt of the ends of a pants bar. The pants bar includes at each end a resilient detent finger having a barbed head. The barbed head snaps into an aperture formed in the wall of the socket to thereby positively lock the pants bar to the hanger. The pants bar is detachable upon intentional manual shifting of the resilient locking fingers. -1-
