- 12 - PRESSURE TANK ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pressure tank assembly for use with relative- ly low water pressure supply and low flow characteristics includes a tank with a zero resistant diaphragm spanning same. Liquid chemical is placed in the upper portion of the tank above the diaphragm and water is metered to the under side to pressurize the diaphragm and hence the che- mical. The water is also bypassed around the tank to the upper side thereof where the water line is joined to a discharge tube as the upper end of the tank feeding the chemical into the main water supply line. A metering jet is provided within the outlet of the upper side of the tank so that a predetermined amount of chemical is fed into the water line and hence to the discharge. The me- tering valve and the water pressure controls the propor- tion of chemical being injected into the main water line and the discharge may then be used to apply chemicals to trees for various purposes including alleviation of Dutch Elm disease.
