ABSTRACT This patent relates to a portable bending brake suitable for manual operation. The brake has a hollow mandel, a hollow support and can bend sheet metal up to 135 degrees and up to 16 gauge or an equivalent in untempered plate. The mandel has a triangular cross- section with a base extending beyond the triangle to form a lip. The leaf is pivotally mounted to rotate about the lip of the mandel. The leaf is equipped with adjusting means so that the mid-portion can be pressurized slightly relative to the sides for bending wide pieces of metal uniformly.
