ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to an improved antenna loading device which has low I2R losses and which maintains its Q value as the inductance of the device is changed to shift its band pass. The device has a controlled amount of intercapacitance, provided by a coil wound over another coil and a spacer between the coils, to provide a series tuned circuit, the tuned frequency of which shifts in the same direction as does its loading of the antenna. By changing the spacer thickness it is possible to have one design of inductance coil usable to load antennas that are efficient over a great range of RF frequencies.
