ABSTRACT A seam for a wetsuit, involving overlock stitching of the edges to be joined and the subsequent introduction of the material having suitable elasticity/recovery properties, such as a polymer, into the well or groove of the seam. Examples of suitable materials are polyurethane, natural rubber latex, silicone and Hypalon (Registered Trademark). The method of forming the seam involves overlock stitching of the seam for a portion of the wetsuit, positioning the portion on a jig and injecting the material into the well or groove of the seam, and allowing the material to dry or cure before removing the wetsuit portion from the jig.
