- 1 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A necktie comprises a knot panel, a front panel which hangs freely from the knot panel and a neck strap which attaches releasably to the knot panel, and which is adapted to fit beneath the collar of a shirt to support the necktie. The knot panel has a central portion with side portions on each side thereof. A plurality of clasp fasteners are arranged on each of the side portions, with any one fastener on one of the side portions being adapted to engage with any one of the fasteners on the other side portion when the side portions are folded over. By folding over the side portions, a tie knot is formed from the knot panel. The tie knot can be selectively varied in shape and size depending upon which of the fasteners on each of the side portions are engaged with one another.
