Diverter Valve Abstract A diverter valve 110] device including a valve body [12] with inlet portions [14, 15] and first and second outlets [16, 18], a valve seat [44] between the inlets and outlets and a valve member [20] reciprocatable within and partly received within the body [12] and having an internal passage [22] with a first end [24] within the body and a second end [26] forming a second outlet. A first seal [54] is positioned for select- ively closing the first outlet [16] when the valve member [20] is in the first position, and a second seal [56] for closing the first end when the valve member [20] is in the second position. The valve member is mechanically biased to the first position, and includes surfaces [24, 34] constructed to be acted upon by the pressure of fluid flowing through the body to retain the member in the second position during such flow.
