ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A damper plate pivotally mounted in a cylindrical mem- ber is adapted to be inserted in the air vent of a clothes dryer. The plate is a portion of a cylindrical surface and has the contour of a three rounded cornered triangle which displays a circular contour when projected on a vertical plane. The circular contour corresponds to the section of the cylindrical member. The damper plate is pivotal- ly suspended by its upper face to the apex of the cylindrical member and rests in the latter at about 30 degrees with the vertical plane. The action of ventilation raises the plate in a position about paral- lel to the cylindrical member.
