Procédé de préparation de poly .beta.-alanine réticulée sous forme de microsphères. Ce procédé comprend les étapes consistant: a) à polymériser de l'acrylamide dans le mélange solvant tertio-butanol/toluène, en présence d'un initiateur de polymérisation et du copolymère octadécène-anhydride maléïque comme agent de suspension, b) à soumettre la suspension de poly .beta.-alanine obtenue à une réticulation à l'aide d'un dialdéhyde comme agent réticulant, et c) à isoler les microsphères de poly .beta.-alanine réticulée. Les microsphères obtenues présentent une faible dispersité de taille.
