ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The disclosed electrode boiler is provided with a vessel (2) partly filled with water, in which is mounted at least one electrode (4) connected to an A/C source. The electrode is secured to the vessel by an insulator (6) made from ceramic material. The portion of the surface of the insulator (6) which is exposed to the steam or water spray is covered with a layer (6') of fluoroplastics in order to avoid the formation of crystal deposits on the ceramic inslulator.
