ABSTRACT " Cooling device for charging lnstallation installation shaft furnace " Charging installation of a shaft furnace, comprising a fixed feed channel (20), a rotary shell (18) mounted coaxially around said feed channel (20), a fixed outer frame (24) mounted coaxially outside the said shell (18) and laterally delimiting with this latter a substantially annular chamber (26), a rotary cage (30) integral with he rotary shell (18), a distribution spout (1.0) pivotably mounted in the rotary cage (30) and cooling means, said cooling means comprising an annular feed vat (40) which is affixed to the upper edge of the rotary shell. (18) and of which the two concentric walls slide with the interposition of a joint (46,48), in an annular block (44) affixed to the upper part (50) of the frame (24), underneath at least one cooling water admission pipe (54), a number of cooling coils (30,32,34,36) positioned around the rotary cage (30) and each connected by a pipe to the said annular vat (40), an annular main (60) affixed -to the outer frame (24), a rotary annular cover (62) asso- ciated with the said main (60) and affixed to the rotary cage (30), and pipes connecting each of the coils to the said main (60) via the rotary cover (62), in such a way that the water flows by gravity between the annular vat (40) and the main (60), via the said pipes and coils.
