ABSTRACT INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE An injection molding machine comprises a main structure including a machine pedestal having a top cover, a horizontally movable clamping unit supported on said machine pedestal, and an injection unit supported of said machine pedestal. The machine also comprises a control cabinet, a manual control panel for direct control actions and an input unit, which comprises a data display device and an input key- board. The input unit is movable from a position for use to a position of rest, in which the input unit is disposed within a space that is defined by the overall dimensions of the main structure of the invention molding machine. The input unit is connected to the control cabinet by at least one cable. The manual control panel and the input unit when it is in position for use are within the reach of an operator assuming a predetermined working position in front of the machine. Because the swivel arm, which carries the input unit, and the bottom surface of the control cabinet, which is attached to said main structure at the rear thereof, extend approximately in the plane that is defined by the top cover of the machine pedestal, and because the input unit and the control cabinet are detachably connected to said main structure to form a unit therewith, the main structure together with the input unit and the control cabinet can be handled in unison within a confined space. On the other hand, the arrangement ensures that the machine can conveniently be manually controlled and serviced.
