Abstract of the Disclosure Here disclosed are surgical cement useful for filling defect parts and vacant part of bones and teeth which comprises (a) a component (A) composed of self-hardening ?-tricalcium phosphate powder, (b) a component (B) composed of a surgically acceptable water-soluble polymer of at least one ?,.beta.-unsaturated carboxlic acid monomer, and (c) water and which is prepared by mixing the component (A), (B) and water or mixing the component (A) and an aqueous solution of the compnent (B), then kneading the mixture.
