ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A novel two-part emergency breathing system is provided herein. The first or fixed part includes a source of air under pressure, a shut-off valve connected to that source of air, the shut-off valve leading to an air filter, and the air filter leading through a pressure regulator to a distribution system including a plurality of quick connect/disconnect couplings. The second or portable part includes a mask having an inlet line therein, terminating in a quick/connect disconnect coupling, the mask including an eyeshield of transparent material and a one-way exhaust valve adjacent the nose and/or mouth of the wearer of the mask.
