ABSTRACT INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE COMPRISING A PROTECTIVE COVERING In a protecting position, two front protective doors of the protective covering shield the injection molding machine in the regions which contain the mold and the plasticizing cylinder and adjoin a stationary column and are movable from their protecting positions in mutually opposite directions into positions in which they cover stationary guards. A horizontal profiled carrying bar extends over the protective doors and is supported on columns. The protective doors are guided at their top horizontal longitudinal edges on tracks, which are mounted on said profiled carrying bar. That design permits a more economical series production of the pro- tective covering and permits different covering require- ments to be taken into account in a higher degree. Such different covering requirements may be due to different degrees of automation and/or different arrangements of the installed injection molding machines.
