PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: Procédé de récupération assistée d'hydrocarbures lourds à partir d'une formation souterraine par puits forés à zone sensiblement horizontale. Les puits forés possèdent à partir de la surface du sol une portion initiale pratiquement verticale suivie d'une portion inclinée ou horizontale s'étendant dans la formation constituée de réservoirs desdits hydrocarbures. La formation est constituée d'au moins deux réservoirs superposés séparés par des épontes la portion horizontale d'un premier puits s'étendant dans un réservoir sensiblement à l'aplomb de la portion horizontale d'un second puits situé dans un réservoir immédiatement adjacent, on utilise ledit premier puits comme puits d'injection de vapeur et ledit second puits comme puits producteur.
