Abstract of the Disclosure A loudspeaking telephone comprises first level control means positioned on a transmitting path and second level control means positioned on a receiving path. Frequency shifting means are provided on at lease one of the transmitting and receiving paths for shifting the frequencies of at least one of the transmitting path signal and receiving path signal. Level comparator means compares the levels of the transmitting path signal and receiving path signals to control the first and second level control means.
