ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A surface inspection apparatus for an object is disclosed which has a photo-electric conversion device, a lens system combined with the photo-electric conversion device for making an image of the surface of an object to be inspected which is not flat as a flat image on the photo-electric conversion device, and an inspection device for processing an output video signal from the photo-electric conversion device to judge whether the inspected surface is good or not.
