Abstract: A compression member (4) integrated in a heat-insulating construction element (3) for projecting building structures (2) comprises at least one rod-shaped member of a compression-resistant material, which member, owing to its slender shape, is capable of elastically or resiliently following temperature-induced longitudinal movements of the projecting building structure relative to the building (1). The rod-shaped members may have a round or angular cross-section, and they may be positioned separately or in bundles. These members may terminate at the adjoining concrete surfaces, optionally at special pressure or compression plates, or they may be anchored in the adjoining concrete structures. (Figure 1)
