ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides, as new compounds, the substituted phenoxybenzyloxycarbonyl derivatives of the general formula Image in which R, R1 and R2, which need not be identical, each represent hydrogen or halogen, but R and R1 cannot both be hydrogen, R3 represents phenyl or phenylthio, and in either case the phenyl ring may optionally carry one or more substituents selected independently from alkyl groups and halogen atoms, Y represents hydrogen or nitrile, n represents 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and m represents 1, 2, 3 or 4 They are produced by reacting a phenoxybenzyl alcohol with y cyclopropane- carboxylic acid derivative by reacting a phenoxybenzyl halide with a cyclo- propane carboxylic acid derivative. The compounds of this invention are useful as pesticides, particularly as insecticides and acaricides, are well- tolerated by plants and have a favourable level of toxicity to warm-blooded animals.
