A B S T R A C T DEC 4 1984 The invention relates to a process for oiling tubular casings on their interiors during axial shirring into shirred strands, whereby the tubular material is inflated between a sealed point and the point of shirring by the introduction of air under overpressure, and spraying oil on to the inflated area of said interior, injection of the oil being intermittent and without propellant air.
