Abstract: Continuous-process press suitable for producing particle board, fibre board, plywood sheets or similar products, having flexible, endless steel bands serving to transmit press force as well as to pull the material to be pressed, said steel bands being guided over drive rollers and deflection rollers about the bed or tup and furthermore being supported upon rotating roller rods whose axes are oriented across the direction of travel of said steel bands, against a support formed by either said bed or said tup, whereby the gap between upper and lower bands is adjustable, whereby furthermore said roller rods are connected so as to permit axial displacement by means of bearing pins fitting into joints of guide chains and into bores in said roller rods and the plates of said guide chain are embodied as double plates that both extend to one side away from the chain path and are guided in tracks alongside the press zone, characterised in that a) the bearing pins comprise spring steel and feature spherical heads on their ends that fit into bores of the roller rods and are furthermore anchored solidly with a driving fit by their other and in the link eyes of the guide chain, b) the roller rods and guide chain are restrictively guided by a plurality of lead sprockets and lead-in sprockets having the same curve and secant measure in the feed curve and through the tangential transition zone leading to the press plane, and c) each link of the guide chain connects to the next link by means of a connection formed by 6 thicknesses of plates.
