Abstract: A golf bag system for receiving and carrying a plurality of golf clubs comprises an elongated outer shell and an elongated insert for receiving and holding a plurality of golf clubs, the insert being positioned within the outer shell. The insert is connected with the outer shell in a manner that permits the insert to rotate about its longitudinal axis relative to the outer shell. As a result, the user can selectively rotate the insert so that he can easily withdraw a club from or place a club into the insert. The connection includes an annular support member included on the outer shell and an annular mounting flange included on the insert, the mounting flange cooperating with and being rotatably supported on the support member.
