-13- ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sensor for measuring the intracranial pressure of a patient comprises a communication plug placed within a hole drilled in the cranial bone tissue. Tubes extending through the plug provide a communication with the interior of the patient's skull. The plug is constituted by a cylindrical body of rigid or semi-rigid material provided with a top annular flange for limiting the depth of penetration of the plug. The lower end of the plug body is fitted with a seal of elastic material which achieves the requisite degree of leak-tightness against the wall of the drilled hole by elastic flexural deformation and/or by deformation within the thickness of the seal.
