ABSTRACT The specification describes a focal plane shutter for a video camera having a tense and a pickup. The shutter has a disk positioned between the lense and the pickup for rotation about an axis to define an annular locus in registration with the pickup. The disk has a single light admitting aperture which intersects the locus, otherwise the disk it opaque to the passage of light.
