Abstract of the Disclosure A swing check valve having the disc supported in a surrounding cage and constructed with a minimum swinging arc. The cage is designed to permit the swinging movement of the disc through approximately 90° and the cage is constructed to guide the disc in its final closing "floating" movement. The end por- tions of the hinge pin for the disc are mounted in recesses facing an abutting valve seat. In all embodiments, the disc and cage may be readily replaced for repair of the valve.
