ABSTRACT The invention disclosed is an apparatus for measuring the electrical conductivity of a solution, said solution comprising a liquid organic solvent containing a dissolved gaseous solute. The apparatus comprises a conductivity cell and a fluid reservoir. A conduit is provided to connect the conductivity cell to the fluid reservoir. An opening is provided in the conduit means for introducing the liquid organic solvent and the gaseous solute into the apparatus. A stopper is provided to close the opening to the atmosphere. Gaseous contaminants may be removed from the apparatus by connecting the opening to a vacuum means.
