A B S T R A C T An implement for making an impression of a cervix is disclosed. The implement comprises an impression tray having a hollow cup for receiving the cervix and having a flexible wall terminating in a peripheral, outwardly flared anterior lip and a bottom aperture, a posterior sleeve integral with the cup and surrounding the bottom aperture, and a hollow elongated stem of which the proximal end is received within the posterior sleeve, the stem defining a passageway communi- cating with the interior of the cup. The implement also includes a syringe having a hollow body portion with a movable plunger therein, and an elongated nozzle in communication therewith, adapted to be received within the passageway of the hollow elongated stem of the impression tray. An impression made by the implement may be used to make a replica of the cervix uteri, which in turn may be used as a mold for making a non- invasive birth control device in the form of a custom-formed cervical cap.
