Abstract A fastener dispensing device having an improved fastener feeding mechanism, which comprises means adapted to abut against connection necks of a fastener assembly loaded in the device and, through the resulting friction force, advance the carrier rod of the fastener assembly each time a distance corresponding to a single pitch of the fastener arrangement on the carrier rod regardless of a change or an irregularity in the inter-fastener pitch of the fastener assembly.
