POLYCARBONATE HAVING AN IMPROVED IMPACT PERFORMANCE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A thermoplastic aromatic polycarbonate composi- tion is provided comprising a blend of polycarbonate resin and a copolymer of .alpha.-olefin having up to 28 pendant carbon atoms and maleic acid anhydride or its imidized derivative. The molding composition finds utility in that it is suitable for molding articles which are characterized by their improved impact performance as measured by their critical thickness and impact strength.
