SILYL POLYAMIDES AND METHOD FOR THEIR PREPARATION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Silyl polyamides are prepared by reacting a silyl anhydride or imide, preferably a polysiloxane anhydride, with a lactam such as .epsilon.-caprolactam. The preferred mater- ials are in the nature of A-B or A-B-A block polyamide poly- siloxanes. They may be used as elastomers and adhesives or, in certain instances, in the formation of thermoset composi- tions.
