ABSTRACT A silver halide light-sensitive photographic material which is excellent in the aptitude for rapid processing and highly sensitive and of which the sensitivity and gradation are stable against the change of the temperature at the time of exposure is disclosed. The silver-halide photographic material comprises a support and, provided thereon, a silver halide emulsion layer, wherein said silver halide emulsion layer contains silver chloro-halide grains containing not less than 90 mole % of silver chloride and having been chemically sensitised in the presence of a labile sulfur compound and a gold compound, and an organic compound of which solubility product(Ksp) with a silver ion is not more than 1 X 10-11.0, said organic compound having been added to said silver halide emulsion layer during the period between after the formation of said silver halide grains and before the completion of the chemical sensitization thereof.
