5604(2) ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Stabilised vitamin particles are further stabilised by coating them with lipid in the solid state. The further stabilised vitamins may be used as components of animal feedstuffs having increased resistance to degradation by moisture or salts. The coating may be applied by grinding the vitamin particles with lipid particles in a mill, eg a Melanger mill, to give 0.25-30% wt of lipid by weight of the final particles. Preferred lipids have a melting point above 50°C and are fatty acids or their salts.
