ABSTRACT N-SUBSTITUTED TETRAHYDROTHIAZINES, PROCESS FOR THEIR PREPARATION, AND THEIR USE AS PESTICIDES Novel N-substituted 2-nitromethylene-tetrahydro-2H-1,3- thiazines of the general formula: Image (I) in which n represents 0 or 1; A represents an alkylene group; X represents an oxygen or sulphur atom or a group -NR1- in which R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group or, together with R, represents an alkylene group; and R represents a hydrogen atom; an alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, tetrahydropyranyl, alkylcarbamoyl, dialkylcarbamoyl, formyl, alkanoyl or haloalkanoyl group; a cycloalkanoyl group optionally substituted by one or more halogen atoms and/or alkyl, haloalkyl, alkenyl or haloalkenyl groups; or an optionally substituted phenyl or benzoyl group; provided that if X is oxygen then R is not alkyl, alkanoyl or optionally substituted phenyl; have useful pesticidal properties.
