- 18 - ABSTRACT A method of and system for treating air in a space involves delivering treated air, at relatively high velocity through relatively small ducts to a mixing device. The mixing device comprises a duct connected between an inlet and an outlet each communicating with the said space and means for establishing a flow of air at relatively low velocity from said space through said inlet and back into said space through said outlet. Said duct includes a mixing zone via a buffer zone. Flow control means such as a perforated baffle plate is provided between said buffer zone and said mixing zone.
