Abstract: A plug coupling for providing a pressure-sealed connection to a device having a cylindrical connector comprises a tube-like support element having a front portion provided with a sealing ring and a rear portion formed as an inlet part. Elongated clamping jaws are linked to the support element and extend in a generally axial direction. Said clamping jaws are arranged concentrically around a longitudinal axis of the support element and have free ends radially displaceable. A sleeve surrounds the support element and is shiftable in longitudinal direction and has a front end portion provided with a rim for engaging peripheral surfaces of said clamping jaws for locking them in an engaged position. The sleeve is urged into the engaged position either by a spring or by pressure. An arresting device blocks the sleeve to prevent this engagement of the plug coupling when fluid pressure is applied thereto.
