Abstract of the Disclosure Polyurethane are provided which have a polymeric backbone including recurring urethane or urea groups or both and which are reaction products including macroglycols, diisocyanates, and preferably chain extending agents. The polyurethanes may take the form of poly(fluorosilicone urethanes) and include recurring organosilicone moieties from a fluoroalkylsiloxane reactant. When it is desired that these polyurethanes be capable of forming fibers in air, then the reactant charge should be such that the ratio of isocyanate equivalents to hydroxyl equivalents is less than 1.
