ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for the preparation of thiuram disulfides substituted with aliphatic cycloaliphatic, araliphatic, or aromatic hydrocarbon radicals, said process comprising react- ing a suitably substituted secondary amine having a PKa 28 with carbon disulfide in a solvent and in the presence of oxygen or oxygen-containing gas, a solvent, and a metalli- ferous catalyst, at a temperature of between 0°C and 200°C.
