Process for the preparation of halogenated polyethers of the general formula: RFO CFX - CF2 - OR'F and (see fig.I) wherein X = Cl or F, RF and R'F, either equal to or different from each other, selected from fluorinated alkyl radicals with from 1 to 20 carbon atoms; cycloalkylic, heterocyclic, alkylcycloalkyl or cycloalkylalkyl radicals, having from 5 to 20 carbon atoms, said radicals possibly containing also other halogen atoms different from fluorine and possibly ethereal oxygen atoms, by reaction with a fluoroxy or chloroxy compound of the generak formula: RFO-CF = CF2.
