ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a television receiver including a circuit for doubling line scanning frequency according to the present invention, a double scanning is performed so that a first signal or a second signal is alternataly selected at every ? (H; normal horizontal scanning period). The first signal was converted from a video signal into a double line scanning frequency, and the second signal was converted into a double line scanning frequency from a signal produced by delaying the video signal by one field period. With such a double scanning television receiver, pictures of high quality may be obtained without flickering and degradation in resolution.
