Abstract Novel halogen-substituted N-(3-trifluoromethyl-4- halogenoalkoxyphenyl)-N'-benzoylureas of the formula Image (I) wherein R1 is a C1-C4-alkyl group which is substituted at least twice by fluorine, chlorine or bromine, R2 is fluorine or chlorine, and R3 is hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine; processes for producing these compounds, as well as compositions containing then, for use in combating pests, particularly for combating insects which infest plants and animals. The novel compounds are especially effective against larval stages of insects which damage plants by eating.
