ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A polymer extrusion die is disclosed, with die lips having a surface material selected from a)a perfluoro- alkoxy polymer, b)a matrix of a metal or metal alloy impregnated with a fluorocarbon polymer, and c)a matrix of a ceramic material impregnated with a fluorocarbon polymer. The die is particularly useful for reducing surface roughness of polyethylene film manufactured therewith.
