ABSTRACT A multi-viscosity fuel metering valve comprises a metering stem and a metering stem guide. The metering stem is rotatable relative to the metering stem guide. A port is located in the metering stem guide and a plurality of orifices, each having different dimensions, are positioned in the metering stem. The port in the metering stem guide may be moved relative to each of the orifices and each of the orifices may be individually positioned adjacent the port. The selection of an orifice for a fuel having a particular viscosity allows the use of different fuels with a heating apparatus such as a burner.
