POT CONSTRUCTION FOR OIL BURNER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pot construction for an oil burner is disclosed which is capable of effectively preventing the leakage of fuel oil through the connection between an oil supply pipe and a pot to the outside of the pot. The pot construction includes a protective pipe extending between a housing and the pot received in the housing and inserted into the pot, through which the oil supply pipe is inserted into the pot with a gap being defined between the oil supply pipe and the protective pipe. The protective pipe is formed with at least one through-hole, so that a part of air in an air passage may be introduced via the through-hole and the gap into the pot to prevent the adhesion of soot and tar to the oil supply pipe and the leakage of fuel oil. An oil burner having such a pot construction incorporated therein is also disclosed.
